We love children and believe families
are a gift from God.
We strive to make Citylight Kids a place that is Christ-centered, child-engaging, creative, and really fun!
Studies show that most children’s permanent view of God is formed by age 5, and also show that 85% of those who accept Christ do so between the ages of 4 and 14. Matthew 19:14-16 says, ” ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.’ And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them.” Jesus loves children. He welcomed them, spent time with them, and valued them. So we want to love and welcome children, too!
Lead in Citylight Kids
We invite you to join the dozens of volunteers who invest in the children and families of our church by joining our team! We can train you, connect you with other volunteers, and get you scheduled.
CITYLIGHT KIDS | Frequently Asked Questions
+ What information do I need to know before visiting Citylight Kids?
We have worked to make it as easy as possible for you to worship with us! When you arrive, you can check in your children at one of our Citylight Kids check-in areas. If it is your first time, a volunteer will walk you through the entire process. You are welcome to check in your child before the service, or keep them with you for the songs before the sermon and check them in after.
+ What safety features do you have in place?
For your child's safety and your peace of mind, we will:
- Do background checks on all volunteers.
- Have allergy alert stickers available at check-in.
- Provide a security tag for your child and ask for the parent's portion of the security tag before releasing any child at check-out.
- Have a text-messaging system available for easy contact in case of emergency.
- Have a security camera system through the Citylight Kids area.
- Require anyone entering the children's ministry to show their security tag to a security volunteer.
+ What is your policy on sick children?
We request that you do not drop your children off at Citylight Kids if they have any of the following symptoms:
- A temperature of 100 degrees or higher in the last 24 hours
- Diarrhea or vomiting in the last 24 hours
- Severe coughing
- Colored nasal drainage (not due to allergies)
